Biography

early years

Barry grew up in Rockland County, originally influenced by the sounds of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Michael Bublé, Tony Bennet, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Glen Miller, and other prolific artists of the 50's and 60's. For Barry, there is nothing that compares to Sinatra's baritone vocals or the sounds of a Horn Line and a Big Band.

Beginning at a very young age, Barry's Grandfather Bert & Grandmother Shirley began sharing the music they loved with him, and it evolved into a true love affair over the years. Today, Barry still has the honor to hear his Grandmother's stories about meeting Nancy Sinatra and attending Frank's live shows.

PERFORMANCES

Barry has spent the past few years performing at hundreds of Weddings and Private Events in the New Jersey area. Barry has also had public performances including The Westfield Jazz Summer Festival, Shanghai Jazz Club in Madison NJ, The Hoboken Sinatra Singing Contest, & The Scotch Plains Farmer's Market. Currently, Barry is a resident at Ember & Eagle Steakhouse in Tinton Falls, NJ, with shows on the first Friday of the Month. Please contact Ember & Eagle to confirm.

Barry's wants to keep Jazz and Standards alive and thriving. He can perform Solo, in a duo with a Pianist or Guitarist, or as a Trio or Quartet with multiple musicians. Barry will work with you to determine the right musical group size for your special event.
